I like glitched pop because it mimics the effect of not hearing something properly, which unlocks the subconscious, like music heard in a dream. Sometimes I'm listening to the radio in the car and hear something amazing, shazam it, and without the crackle, distortion, and phasing of imperfect reception and the wind and road noise, it's just not the same. e.g. what I heard as shoegaze might turn out to be simple guitar rock.
